My "MM" is dirty from sanding. Can it be cleaned? If yes, how and what should be used? How long does this stuff last?
I clean mine using water, dishwashing liquid, and an old toothbrush.
The ones I have been using are about a year old now...still cutting it.
What hurts it most IMHO are:
HEAT due to fast sanding. melts the rubber that holds the grits.
UNCURED FINISH. really loads the sandpaper blocking the grits.
I normally take my wife's panty hose bag, stick it all in there and wash it in the washing machine. Comes out like new.
