I talked to [profile=Kendallqn]Ken Northern[/profile] today about the Desert Woodturning Roundup in Mesa, AZ which is happening Feb 26, 27, & 28. Ken is the secretary of the Arizona Woodturners Association and he asked me to publicize the details.

Rex Burningham will be one of the featured demonstrators at the event, and on Friday the 26th he is available to join any sort of penmaking discussion that anyone from IAP or otherwise might want to have. Ken told me that IAP previously hosted a meeting at the event (maybe 2012?), but neither of us had any details.

If you're interested in attending, check out the web site. If you want to arrange some sort of gathering, I'm sure that Ken would help orchestrate that.
 
Doesn't Ken know that we have the BASH going on in Feb? Having a woodshow at the end of Feb is like Planning a Wedding the opening weekend of deer hunting season. You just don't do that kind-of-thing.

I mean, Somethings are just not to be done during the month of Feb. That time belongs to the IAP and it Birthday Bash and Everyone knows that.

.... and I don't even want to be distracted by reading the title of this thread .....

I wish I could go though !!!!! .... Oh, to be in Arizona !!!!! .... Especially if Curly and Crickett could be there too .... miss them.

Hope they're doing OK in the northern Canadian winter !!! ... -15 ... feels like -22, they say, but who wants to find out ? !!!!
