Desert Ironwood Burl

I had a nice piece of DIB just begging to be made into a pen

The figure in this burl is more interesting than I can capture in the photo, and I'm even getting used to the smell of Desert Ironwood.

Hey Barry,

Would you mind sharing how you get those perfect bevels around the holes? Also, is the insert mounted from behind, or do you split and rout the pieces, no problem if you want to keep them trade secrets, I'll understand.
You do some fantastic work, I love the finish products.
