delta 14" lathe leveling

I just picked up a used Delta 14" lathe. I got it set up in the basement but the concrete floor must not be level (big surprise). The legs of the lathe do not have any way to attach the little levelor legs that you can buy and srew in. Any suggestions short of cardboard under the leg?

How out of level are you?
Actually, that lathe is too short for me anyway. It might benefit from a platform of 2x6pt built into the floor...then sand down until it's level?

Don't use cardboard. At the minimum, wood. Better metal. But do level carefully.

As Frank has said, "Don't use cardboard." A 'coaster' made out of wood will work for many years. A metal shim will last far longer.
