deleted my vent

I typed a long vent about work/lack of, but then I felt stupid for doing it and for some reason can't delete the whole thing. So, there it is.

Well, yes but no. I hung around here for a few weeks and soaked up the sun and worked out in the shop like a vacation. Then I started getting restless, so I got off my but and sent out a few resumes and now I have a new job but don't start till Wednesday night. It's an easier job physically than my last one, the pay is a little less, but it's only 4 days a week and I'm home every day, so I can still have proper family and shop time just like before. The only real negative is it's a night shift, like 7pm to 5 or 6 am. Getting a new job was pretty easy, even here in the depressed state of Michigan, but I am in a career field that is always in demand. I don't know how long I can hold the new job, as they told me if I get a speeding ticket it's automatic dismissal, and I have a heavy foot, lol. But..like I said, new jobs are easy to find for truckers, especially experienced ones. My heavy foot has lightened over the years a bit with age too, it's been 3.5 yrs since my last ticket, knock on wood, that's a record for me.

Just got my first ticket on Tuesday. For running a stop sign. I'm still convinced I got set up. Getting a job as a teacher is difficult once the school year has begun, then all the other places think that something is wrong with you because you're not working.
