Does anyone know if the antique brass on the Dayacom pens is plating or solid? I'm guessing plated, but sometimes brass is not just a plating as it's cheaper than the "precious" metals. Pretty sure the PSI duraclick is solid brass.

I would have guessed they were all brass as they have to stretch over other parts without splitting..

Apologies, for some reason I thought you were referring to the tubes.....chemo brain...šŸ˜Š
I have no idea about the components but like you, I'd guess plated.

I have wondered the same.

ALMOST all pen kit parts are plated brass ( exception that I know about is :- some stainless steel kits were available from one or two specialty vendors a few years ago, but don't seem to be advertised much anymore )

I don't know much about platings, but I would suspect that "Antique Brass" would be a plating.

Unplated brass, though attractive when first machined and polished, does not remain attractive for very long due to oxidation in the atmosphere.
Brass needs a lacquer or durable plating.
