Made a Dawn click pen with some sugar maple that doesn't look like much on the outside but sure makes pretty pens. BTW, I dried this wood in a toaster oven by running repeated cycles of 15 minutes with the oven set to 250 degrees F. It took 10 of those minutes just to warm up. CA finish. I believe the hardware was called gunmetal, but it is really dark.
