Made this dart set for a lady last week. It has six different military award ribbons on it, each one wrapped with thread. In order to get two ribbons on each dart, I had to make the ribbons slightly less than half their standard size. Then I coated the thread with epoxy, sanded with micro mesh to 15000, and then put a coat of polyurethane over the whole barrel of the dart.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, the awards were earned by a Marine. I didn't weigh the darts when I was finished, just made sure the barrels were all the same weight, which was 14 grams, if I remember correctly.

For those who don't know the ribbons, they are (from the top left):
Iraq campaign
Global war on terrorism
Purple heart
Combat action, Navy and Marine Corps
National Defense Service
Good Conduct, Marine Corps
