Dang UPS

I have some AR15 parts coming (new M4 Carbine build) coming. They were supposed to be here today. Some type of "local disruption" in Jackson is holding it up. Problem is since they are gun parts, the manufacturer requires an 'adult signature'. I talked Tam into waiting for UPS today. Now they're not showing up, and I have to get her to do it again on Monday.

After waiting on hold for a while, I finally got someone... the "local disruption" was that they didn't take it off the truck in time. So now I can either talk Tammy into staying at home again Monday, or go to the UPS hub and pick it up.

Nothing arrives slower than a watched UPS package. Especially for a build... DAMHIKT. :wink:

I'd go pick it up at the Hub. Every time I get something from UPS I'm never home. Both my wife and I get home from work around 3:00pm and he's already been there. I really don't get why they can't adjust hours of delivery for residential addresses.

UPS- "We Deliver" and I always drive 15 miles to pick it up from your hub!

I'll be picking it up - not fair to ask her to sit at home for another day waiting on them. Plus this time of year, no telling when it'll be and she does a lot of running around getting ready for Christmas. It's not that far away from my work. I don't blame the manufacturer to require an adult signature given the contents. Just wish I would have known about the delay before this morning...

Funny thing was I got a message indicating it was at the hub a few minutes ago. An hour ago I was told it was still in Jackson. Had to call back to see where it was. They say the website is wrong. It updated the location because of hold request. That doesn't seem right. I'm watching it now for some type of barcode scan.
