A couple of pictures of a Damascus knife for use in removing the cape of a deer or elk. The blade consists of 243 layers of 1095 spring steel and L6 (from a band saw blade 4" wide from a sawmill). The blade started with 5 pieces of 1095 and 4 of the L6 forged welded and hammered out and repeat and repeat etc.
The handle is antler and the bolster is pewter cast in place after the handle has been attached. I included a slim line (ironwood and turquoise) to give you an idea of the size of the blade.

Thanks for looking C&C welcome
