Hello old friends. I still have the pestering bug deep inside but have another request. Not sure if this is the right thread.

My dad, RichB was quite active here a few years ago and now has Alzheimer's. He started a scrollsawing project of an Apostle Clock. I would love to connect with someone who may be interested in taking over his amazing work. We don't need it back just to know his 4 years of work don't end with an unfinished project. I just don't have the time or knowledge to finish it.

OMG! I do hope someone will step up and give an assist or direct you to others. Stunning work, and I also appreciate the thought that the importance is that it is finished. Be well.

WOW! have to say very impressive. He was a talented scroller from the looks of it. His accuracy in cutting was top notch. Tremendous amout of work has gone into that and it is ashame he can not finish this. Have you ever thought about learning the art? Anyone in the family skilled enough to try it? keeping in the family would really be cool. These are heirlooms and passed down as I bet with alot of his earlier work. I personally have stepped away from scrolling a couple years ago and my time is just not there. I am in the midst of a home remodel project that is basically 3 more years away from completion or at least I hope so. Getting up in age, tomorrow is promised to no one. Scrolling is a relaxing hobby that should have been a help in the Alzheimer dept. Just as pen making and other hobbies. He evidently has a very good scrollsaw so if a family member decides to take it on they are well ahead of the game. Teaching oneself is all about practice. It really is not hard but does take dedication and desire. Along with that part being able to dimension wood and sand and things like this are all part of it as well so again I presume he had all the necessary tools. All I could do is maybe answer questions if need be.

If you are truely wanting to go outside the family venture I can suggest the scrollsawing web site I am a member of. They are as friendly as this one here and maybe someone in your area can help. Because that can be another huge problem, shipping. This project seems to be well under way and I am not sure if he had intentions of making this a 360 degree clock (that is he makes 2 and places them back to back) Lots of people do this with the larger clocks such as the Dome clocks and so many more. Or else the back is open. Some people just stick against a wall in that case. But that also brings up another point to consider. You need a place to display it and these larger clocks do take up some room. But do make a statement.

Here is the site and here is the clock finished after a member did his. There is a fee to become a member there. But it is one of the last scrollsaw sites out there. You could try FaceBook. They have a bunch of scrolling sites that are free. Good luck.

This photo was picked off Pintrest. But shows the exact clock. This person added the Apostle kit as well as the light kit. Wildwood design use to put this pattern out with all the add-on kits to it also. They have been taken over by Cherry Tree designs. so not sure if they even sell this clock any more along with the kits. But it gives you an idea how far along this is which is almost done.

Eric, your dad's work is beyond impressive. I can't even imagine how many hours of work have gone into that and I'm hopeful you find someone who can honor your dad's efforts by finishing the project. Our mom recently passed after struggling with dementia for 10 plus years, so I feel for you and anyone else who has to watch someone they love slowly disappear. David
