Why do I see you guys having the grandson sitting on the chainsaw motor while you cut wood up? "I was just letting him have a chainsaw ride. He likes it. See he is giggling!"

Serious question--since i've not built mine yet--how did the new cutting stand work out?? Worth the build??
And, yes...the wood is getting older and heavier, nothing to do with you or me!!

The "woodturners" sawbuck works well. Yet, sometimes depending on the piece, it is good to just use a cut log and use wedges the old fashion way. Here is an old link of Robo Hippy. How I first learned to cut blanks. It works... if you can wedge the wood properly.
