When we are done with this pen, I suspect a lot of people will understand how I could make so many pens in a day, when I was doing shows.

Lots of little "time savers" that I developed---no real fancy tools, just a piece of wood, cut like a "T" with different lengths.

(BTW, it has a metal washer in a drilled recess in the back, so it hangs on my magnetic storage, which is affixed to the heating duct (metal) in the basement.--Always easy to find--there is one "T" for each type of pen I make many of)

One thing I did not say that Dawn mentioned in the car this morning.

When you cut off the end, make sure it's the CLOSED end. If you use the registration marks (to identify the middle, where the pattern will match), make certain to drill from the middle out and then cut off, with the index marks toward the top of your jig.

When you "get in a hurry" during production days, its ever too easy to cut off the end that has been drilled.

Then, cuss!!

When you have issues with text coloring and backgrounds. Once you figure out what color you're using for the actual text try adding a 1 or 2 pixel outside stroke to it. With yellow, a black stroke usually does well. (unless you background is very dark of course) I would assume vegas has the option in text editing but not sure.. It's been quite a while since I've used it.

I never thought of making a little cut off jig. Will have to try this as I usually just left the ends longer to make up for the blow out I was getting.
