I had a request to make a handle for a Woodchuck Round 1 for a man who turns while in a wheel chair, he wanted the tool for hollowing and I thought about this, so I made the handle from one inch 6061 Aluminum bar stock, and turned it down to fit it with an ergonomic bicycle handle bar grip, the tool is secured with 4 set screws so he can position it where ever the grip is comfortable for him and the square bar can sit flat on the tool rest,, now I have to make one for me for a swan neck hollowing tool I made a few months ago and haven't been able to decide what to do for a handle, this thing is so easy to grip and resists twisting it amazed me. I glued the grip to a knurled surface with Polyurethane glue, the back of the grip is kind of a Vee shape so it's very easy to get a solid grip on. the second photo shows the shape of the grip, I can't wait to get in the shop Thursday and make one for me.
