Don't post often lately, but I learned a lot of lessons on this roll stop, so figured I might as well!
The beautiful blanks are from @BSea aka Bob Dupras. He makes some beautiful blanks! These are called "graffiti" and they are awesome.
I made the roll stop from nickel silver. It is supposed to resemble a spray paint can.... I milled grooves in the body of the paint can to allow the two horizontal ridges to sit in while I soldered them. I also milled grooves for the X and the 5 dots in the body of the can to make it easier to apply the paint (nail polish).
I didn't get enough solder on the bottom horizontal bar, on the bottom side of the bar, but it's very solid. I only used 1 post and I think I would do 2 next time. And I should have milled all the grooves in one operation rather than 2 like i did. It was difficult to secure the work piece for the X and the 5 dots after I cut the piece to shape (the X and dots were an after thought).
