Does anyone have info on creating custom flatware (silverware) and the sources. I want to make custom handles to make an entire set. Any help would be great. Thanks [?]

I would check some of the knife making sites. I know they have some cutlery sets, just not sure if they have a full flatware set.

I've been wanting to do this, to but can't justify it just yet, to many other things to spend money on and too many kids to ruin woden handles.

You can buy flatware that inserts into a turned wooden handle from CSU. It is all stainless steel from england and come in two grades, the cheaper is stamped, more expensive is forged. I have used some of them to make wedding cake knives and servers. They make nice, custom pieces, but are not necessarily the cheapest way to go.

You can also search online for knifemaking and some places wil have cutlery to make as well.

Try here:

Go down a few pages to see some custom cutlery ready to put handles on, though not for turned handles.

Good luck and have fun.
