Custom Aluminum Two-Toned Fountain Pen

Worked on this a little at a time when time permitted. Finished it yesterday. Custom fountain pen made out of T6061 Aluminum rod. Sports a fine two-toned Bock nib. Had fun making it. Hope you like it.

They really do accent the aluminum. I had initially put a rhodium version of your clip and a polished nib on the pen. Of course...I asked my wife for an opinion. Her comment was that she remembered some gold clips and nibs with Dee's cookie. (She claimed those the moment the package made it to the office).

It's correct. It's meant to have a satin or brushed finish.

How did you finish the aluminum?

Keith, Thank you! I finished it with Abranet to 500 grit and followed it with the first two Micromesh pads with very little pressure on the pad. I usually airbrush the surface with an abrasive using a Paasche Air Eraser. Thought I would try something different.
