A cigar pen with curly Walnut and a ca finish.The Walnut is from Victor(landfilllumber).The difference in color from the top to the bottom almost looks like two different blanks,but it is'nt.All comments welcome.

Very nice job it does look like two different blanks. I just finish a spalted hackberry that I had to look around to make sure I didn't mix up the blanks as the top was super spalted and the bottom was not...

Beautiful pen Ronald . The grain in that wood is fantastic , I love walnut for my flat work and if I could get some blanks like that for pens as well .

Ronald, I don't think I've ever seen a piece of walnut as striking as that! And your work shows it off very well.

Very nice work! I'm with Butch, I love Walnut for flatwork (even though I haven't done much of it). I'm making a toybox from walnut and curly maple right now. I would've loved to had some curly walnut for it! Again, supernice work.
