Curly Maple pen display

The retail store where my pens are had some pens stolen and asked if I could make a closed case. This is what I've done:
Curly Maple mitered case with Sapelle and Mahogany slipfeathers cover that fits over a separate pen tray made of curly maple and two-tone sapelle.
The color in the first photo is closest to reality. Forgive the rotten pics but I dropped the camera and have to take it in for repair.

That's a good looking case Gary. I like the contrasting wood tones... and that is some curly maple for sure.

Brian, I am very lucky -- the retailer is highly ethical and paid for the stolen items.
R2, I think so -- I've done more flatwork than turning over the years and have always enjoyed boxmaking. LOML got to the point where she'd say, "Oh great, just what we need, another box." Then, I started making pens. You can guess the rest. [}]
