Scales from a Curly Koa Pen blank I had left from another project

Knives are weird to make, I think. I enjoy it, but the power sanding and shaping always gives me anxiety that I'm one slip away from ruining the thing with a bad scratch.

Beautiful work,
I share your anxiety with the Belt Sander, I made a Chef's Set of Knives, for my Eldest son, and my heart was in my mouth most of the way.
I used Cocobolo for the Scales, and they varied considerably where the lighter Tan Colour wood was far softer than the Darker wood.
With more good luck than good skill they came out Beautifully.
I love the Style of your Knife, Beautiful Scales, Great Finish.
Congratulations,
Brian.

Thanks all.

Peening - Take an object you have already invested careful hours in and place it on an anvil. Smack any metal bits that are sticking up with a hammer until they no longer stick up.
