Cup and Ball

Given the holidays on the horizon, toys are totally a good thing for us turn...

The cup is nothing more than a goblet with a turned off base. The ball, on the other hand is a bit more difficult.

Getting that perfect sphere form is a challenge. Here was my solution...

Jam chuck and square block of cocobolo

rotate the chuck as you go and remove everything that doesn't look round. I'm sure there are better methods, but it worked well for me.
