Finally,success.My first completion with no breaks.A few chips but no cracks.

Looks good. I have not tried these, but my father experimented. Knowing what he said about it, you've made a good accomplishment. Next step is a five level Chinese ball!

The chinese ball is a few spheres away.Next up is 12 point star in a sphere.

I suppose one could be made out of resin.Better get the blanks cheap or it will get real expensive.I don't see resin being very forgiving to catches.

Thanks fellas.

I pulled this one off the lathe yesterday.It is a 12 point star in a sphere.I broke a chunk out while cleaning out some glue.I was able to glue it back in so it's mostly complete.

I learned that I need to use less hotmelt for the plugs and more precision tool handling.

If off to try another now.
