This is my 2nd cast blank. I painted the tube with pink spray paint and I coated in fine pink glitter while still wet. After a few hours I sprayed a coat of clear acrylic and a second dusting of glitter.

Then I cast in Liquid Diamonds epoxy resin under 50 psi pressure for 24 hours.

To add a bit more bling, I used the PSI Royal Crown kit in Chrome. Casting my own blanks looks to be another addiction that is beginning to take hold.

Hope you like it.

Danny

Excellent work and cool idea, somebody is going to love that pen. And yes, casting is a whole new fun hobby of its own. I cast far more than I turn, and have a few small boxes of blanks waiting for their turn on the lathe.

Thanks everyone. My daughter/princess has been wanting a pink glitter pen since I started turning. Casting my own finally made it possible with this kit. Now to cast some matching knife scales for an automatic folder I'm making for her.
