Crosscut Zebra Flat Top American

I bought a few of these kits for a really cheap,.... scratch that, inexpensive price.... but I'm not crazy about the plating. :frown:

Decided to experiment with some Zebrawood (which I'm usually not real excited about either) ... by cutting the blank across the grain.

Also made a light box yesterday ... but as you can see I still need some work getting a decent picture.
Before that I converted my old grinder to a buffer .... haven't used it on anything yet though.

Nice looking piece of timber. Is the plating supposed to be dull like that?

Yeah, it's satin gold ... I think they called it.
