cross slide graft onto jet mini

I'm curious, has anybody ever tried to mount a second hand cross slide from a metal lathe on a jet mini? How hard could it be, Right? (ducking to avoid the lightning strike from above) famous last words.

But seriously, could it be done, what might be the hangups, how useful would it be if you could do it? I was thinking mostly of using it for facing, but I bet lots of uses would present themselves once it was there.

Just a thought, What are yours?

You might be able to use a cross slide table or if you need to use the cross slide mount it to the table.

It looks like you could place the bottom table that the vice is sitting on on an indexable table and even use it for cutting tapers. I have to try this. Thanks
