Last week when turning some novelty pens I somehow managed to get a wrong bushing on the nib end when turning this blank. That resulted in cutting right down to the tube causing a blowout.
Those are very expensive blanks and if it had been a piece of wood I probably would have tossed it but I decided to save this one. .
I cut it back and put a piece of black acrylic on that end and turned it down to the right size bushing and all is well .
