Off the pen making subject but just a quick questions for you all.....

Selling items on Craigslist and using Paypal was a form of payment. What are the risks? Precautions? Your Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dana

If you're referring to risk of payments with paypal it's pretty much no different than if you accepted paypal via your own website. Just make sure to look over paypal policy. You may have to include a terms of service or return policy in your invoice to the customer.

Not too much

It's not too risky - if they don't pay you don't ship. They can claim they didn't receive the item but if you ship with a delivery confirmation that is pretty well eliminated. Since it isn't an eBay sale the T & Cs are pretty much up to you or whatever craigs list has in place. If you aren't selling and collecting regular via PayPal you can transfer the funds out immediately so PayPal can't hold your money hostage the way they can for those of us who keep a balance in the account.
