Crackpot

So I can be a bit of a crackpot with some of my ideas. I decided to try to cast some herbal tea in Table Top epoxy and make a teapot. I should have known better but I cast it in one pour because I was worried about stratification with multiple pours. The cast developed a meandering crack throughout the cast as it cured. Rather than throw it away I worked epoxy into the crack without adding any tea. The tea did not stay in suspension as well as I hoped so it tended concentrate in the lower part of the cast. Despite all this, I persisted with my experiment and managed to complete a teapot. Not the prettiest by any stretch but maybe it can be a conversation piece.

Way to go, you didn't allow it to get the upper hand, you carried on. I think it's a cute little teapot, and yes it should be a conversational piece.

What is the approx diameter ? .... just to get an idea of overall size .

And also, what kind of epoxy ? .... in particular the cure time .

The diameter is 3 3/4", the brand name is Table Top epoxy, the cure time is about 6 hours. I used an oatmeal container as the mold.
