Antique Brass components. I used yellow dyed, stabilized, Spalted Tiger Oak for the timber.
This is a pretty hefty pen. The 8 mm tubes are deceiving once the blanks are turned to the size of the components.
The tiger oak had more open grain than I expected and the resin kind of fought me but I used CA , BLO and sandpaper to fill the grain. This is one of the pens I will hate to see go!
I'll be making more of these because I am impressed with the components and with 2 barrels it gives twice the number of options for material to use.
