Mesa with a lava bright 2 blank and a multifunction pen with wenge.
I see exactly what you are saying, I am just afraid when I get to the bushings because that is usually when I end up with problems. I know if I just keep practicing I will get better.Looking good Paul. If I can make a suggestion, the sierra kit and all its clones are one of the easiest kits to get a nice shape to the blank because they have a distinct slope to the kit from cap to nib. What you should try to do is follow that curve through your blank. Instead of abruptly tapering the ends to meet the components, just do a gradual slope with just a small bump in the middle. But keep the slop the same leading away from the cap as well as leading into the nib. This way you do not have to round over the ends. You can do this on all the sirrea style kits. I have included one of mine as an example of what I am saying. 2 different kits but same shape detail. Practice and you will find this very easy to do. Have fun.
