lot of good information.

I think this is awesome. I am going to be placing an order next week for some new pens and I'm ordering a Cigar style just for a corn cob pen. I have a few cobs of corn from when I lived in Wisconsin. My wife hopefully will not miss a few decorations this fall!?

Be sure to use sharp tools, a light touch, and have plenty of glue handy for stabilizing. Also, the larger the core (the soft, pithy part), the sooner you'll run out of cob when turning. If your tube is off-center by much, you can end up loosing the pattern. Good source of cobs is the pet area at Walmart - they have bird/squirrel food - a whole bag of dried corn on the cob - under $4 a bag - just pop the kernels off.
Be sure to post your creation!
Good luck

For MELOGIC. If you don't want to take a chance on the wife - shout out. I'll bet there are a few of us corn eaters who can send you a cob or two. Or go to the grocery store and harvest your own. Removing the kernals can be fun!!
