I have a box of cut-offs that are wierd sizes and shapes. Do you want to make pen blanks, or what (see if these could be useful to you)?

I'd like to make some pen blanks, but I'd also like to get some hunks/chunks/scraps for jig fixture parts, like a pen press, and such. if you've got some to give, that would be great! color not important even.

Call or visit ones a little further away. My FIL knows one, they said they throw all their scraps into a large bin, then they have to PAY someone to dispose of them. Calling the local solid surface countertop installer may be happy for you to take them off their hands.

If you deal with small-time shops, their cutoffs may not be as large, so the customers get it. If you call a big opperation, there's bound to be tons of it.

Also try contacting elody21 on here. Alice will charge you a very reasonable price for a box that will be so heavy, your mailman (or mailwoman) will be VERY mad at you.

Maybe, but how far away has he called? In most parts of the US you drive 30 miles to the next town, there's a whole other set of cabinet/countertop makers. I doubt he's called all within a reasonable driving range. Question is; How far are you willing to drive for free blanks?

OK, I'll go with that!!!

BTW, I get a supply from my local guy. I picked up this bunch from a guy at a craft show who was making corian "shaped" boards. That's why they are weird shapes. (Now I've tried both spellings, so I am right at least ONCE)[:D][:D]

I have not called "everyone" yet, to be sure. so I still have some calling to do. Ed, if you're willing to send me some, perhaps we can work something out to get me started. :D

I've got a 2002 FLHPI it's a Road King, converted from Police to civilian use. Love it! my Wife rides a 1996 1200C Sportster, and she's got eyes for the Deluxe.
