This is a walnut (sapwood) and copper etched box.

The copper is etch with a simple salt water etching technique you can easily replicate. I turn the box on the lathe and finish it with 2 coats of wipe on poly.

After watching the video on the bowl gouge handle, I was hoping to see the monment it broke in this video. I bet the look on your face would have made from some great video. Alas I'm guessing the profanity made it unusable footage. :tongue: Another great project though.

Great comic series...to bad Seth had to make a movie and sort of 'ruin it'.....

The 'box' is really cool! But inquiring minds and all.....what kind of dimensions am I seeing here?

It's about 5" in diameter and 1 1/2 inches high. A fairly small box...
