I picked up a Conway Stewart a while back. A lovely little lever filler in pretty good nick. Problem was I bought it without a feed or nib. Parts or spares I suppose.
Anyway, I got a couple of scmidt nibs from IPD a while ago and eventually decided to have a go at fitting one of them to the CS.
I removed the old sac and attachment from the section. I measured up that I needed a 6.7mm hole through the section which was currently 4.31mm.
That was easy, once drilled I CA'd the nib into the section - no intention fo removing it again.
Next was to drill out the cap; 8.6mm bit, down to 55.5mm from the lip of the cap. Sorted!! sort of...............
The refill is std international, slightly wider at the bottom. SOOOOOOOOOO, the refill fits with a slight push but removing it you have to grab it with a pair of long nose pliers or similar. I haven't yet figured out a way to trim the lever filler to make it work properly but I will
Pistons don't fit, way too long.
So, if you happen upon a Conway Stewart lever filler, give it a bash, they're a nice balance and feel in the hand and no more messy ink bottles
