Hello, I have been obsessed with the Pentel P200 mechanical pencil for 30 years. I need to use a pen for work. Any suggestions on how I can turn this into a pen?

I like the size and rough weight of the pencil because I spin the pencil in my hand and I like the plastic body.

Thanks!

I totally misunderstood your question - thought you were trying to make a more beautiful pencil. But now I realise you are hoping to make a pen that looks like the P200 - which I've never thought of doing.

I made my first conversion 20 (or longer) yrs ago. Ive changed several things over the years. Here is the easiest way to make the conversion.

hahah yes sorry. Your body is much much prettier I completely agree. Is there any way to do the opposite. I guess it's not the point of this forum.

I just want to make it as close to how it is originally but with a pen instead of a pencil.

I'd start by trying to figure out how much effort it would be to adjust the P200 barrel to take the innards of a Bic Crystal ballpoint. It is the simplest pen I can think of - it doesn't retract, and more importantly it only needs support around the metal nib portion, the long tube with ink just sits inside the barrel.
