Construction adhesive?

I've thought about using Liquid Nails or Locktite construction adhesive to glue in pen tubes as it's strong and much cheaper than quality CA or epoxy. Has anyone tried this ?

I think its too thick and to goopy. Also once opened they tad to dry out. Now if you are using caulking tubes they most certainly will.

yes it cheaper but maybe just a few pennies per tube.
