I've had an idea lurking in my head for a while. Problem is that it incorporated basket illusion which I had not yet done. I decided to throw caution to to the wind and dove in. Probably should not have tried it on a piece that required a lot of carving, however, I feel like the result is good enough to follow up on. I am not entirely happy with the form of this piece, have some wonky lines, and probably should have my "basket" extend higher on the jug. Poplar, bottom hollowed, approximately 6" tall.

Very unique and a wonderful concept piece. I love seeing what you come up with. I agree that the 'basket' might look more appealing closer to the waist, but I also simply like it's added features of color, texture, and different materials. Darn nice work.
