Have another computer question. A few months ago I was having problems with Firefox and it was suggested to try switching to Chrome which I did and it has worked very well. Have had no problems with loading pages or logging on forums.

But I have noticed and have tried it a few times already that I am not able to go to the web or any forum and click on a photo and copy and paste it in my thread. I use to be able to see a photo (unless a photo is blocked) and right click and click copy photo and then come back to my thread and paste the photo. But being this does not allow me now I have to upload to a file and then send the photo that way or send the photo link. Is there some magic button I need to click to allow this or is this a property of Chrome??? Thanks in advance.

Firefox is not what it used to be since Mozilla turned loose the "supergeeks"! They find their problems by releasing it to the public, listen to the problems, and then issue "fixes"! The easiest way around that is to "refresh" Firefox a time or two to get back to the version that worked well.

If you want an integrated browser/e-mail/news application try Seamonkey.

I've been using it for as long as it has been out -it grew out of the old Netscape which I used prior to it- and never had any problems with it, it gives a good deal of control of options. It's based on the same (Mozilla code) as Firefox but it gives far more utility than Firefox IMP (because of it's integrated nature and superior bookmarking system).

It will usually be identified as Firefox on sites looking for the type of browser you are using, it is that similar although some Firefox add on applications will not run on it (the major ones usually do).

FWIW, you can use it for the browser alone if you want to handle your e-mail and news reader in separate programs.

Not my work, but I downloaded a fresh copy of chrome and did a copy and paste from google images. Maybe try a delete and reinstall or go to the chrome settings page and click on reset settings. Will bring back to original defaults. Im running Win 10.

Evidently this is not a new problem. As I searched the web I see this complaint a lot. I should have been able to right click your photo and click copy and in reply I should have been able to paste that photo but it does not allow me to do this. I can copy address but that is all.

If anyone knows if they ever fixed this problem and you know the answer I am listening. A bit frustrating.

Yes I see what you mean. I just tried again on my own image and tried to load another image on here and neither way works.
That is strange worked fine few mins ago. I can't get any image to copy now either.

Unfortunately in the browser wars, there is trade offs for whatever one you choose. They all do things differently and some things the others don't do. You have to look at them all and decide what features are available in each one and which features you want and or don't need, whether it be something one doesn't do or may or may not offer. If they all did everything the same there would be no advancement and no choice. They constantly challenge each other and that's where we get new stuff. JT you might try contacting the Chrome people ( and I have no idea how to do that :)) and ask them this question, it may be as simple as going to tools and click something.
Ok that is my 2 1/2 cents this month.

Try right clicking the photo and picking copy url. Then in your thread click the insert image button and then paste the url into the pop up.

OK now we have at least a better way than what I was doing. Not the same but works. Clif helped out. Thank you sir.

When I right click the 2 basic choices for images I have are "copy image" or "copy image address" Now the first does not work but the second does. I copy image address and click on the image insert tool and paste the address in there and click OK and the picture comes up.

I never even knew your original process was an option.

I'm trying it now in Firefox and it works the same as in Chrome, aka it doesn't.

Oh yea. I did that all the time. Very simple. I did it with IE and Firefox but when I switched to Chrome it went away  At least this way I can now attach photos or even copied text.

As an example I use to be able to take the feature photo and click copy image and come back here and click paste and it was done. Can not do that any more. It is a couple more steps but it works.
