I'm posting this question to all of you hoping that someone may have the experience to help with this problem.

I have an old convertible where the plastic back window folds as the top is lowered. The plastic piping that surrounds the window is separating from the cloth cover where the window folds.

Does anyone know of a flexible adhesive that will bond this piping back to the cloth top?

Bob do they make a two sided tape that would work---just a shot in the dark----[8D]

Two sided tape is a possibility, but it would have to be waterproof as it is on the outside.

Based on the convertible top repairs I have seen, DUCT TAPE is the preferred material![)]

My advise, check with auto parts sellers (Autozone, O'Reilly, Pep Boys, etc.) they might have one for that specific purpose.

I don't know the answer, but I know I'd try a company that does boat upholstery, they are used to doing covers and seats that need that type of detail.
