Collet Chuck - 800Watt or Penn State?

I have read a number of positive comments about the collets purchased from 800Watt on eBay on the forum. However, I haven't seen any feedback on the collet chucks they sell?

I have been looking at their ER32 23 pc. metric collet set that includes a MT2 collet chuck and would like to know about it would compare to the Penn State threaded spindle collet? Has anyone ever purchased one of the collect chucks from 800Watt?

Wade, remember that with a #2 MT shank collet chuck you will be very limited with the length/depth available inside the chuck...basically, the length of the collet. I would also carefully check the runout of the spindle taper using a "test indicator".
 
I have the PSI collet chuck and I love it . The knurled grip is more then sufficient to tighten almost anything I want to hold and if I need more it comes with a set of Tommy bars . As Jeff said the MT chuck will limit what you length you can hold in the collets to about an inch or so and will leave allot of material hanging in the breeze , not a good thing for drilling on the lathe .
I would advise either the PSI or the Beall collet chucks . Both will do the job . I got the PSI because it comes with 5 of the most popular collets which meant I didn't have to spend even more money I didn't have at the time . Since I rarely ever use any sizes smaller then 1/4" I chose to get the individual sizes I needed to complete my set . The 800watt set is a nice set but for the price I went this way and saved a few bucks .
 
Thanks for the information! The point that the MT will limit I it can hold is something I missed. It looks like the PSI collet may be a better fit and buy any extra collets I need from 800Watt.
