A colonel I worked for was big into music and even had his own recording studio in his house so I made him this shadow box to commemorate his "Platinum Record" as commander. I inlayed ebony on the face of the frame and used ebony tenons to hold it together. My intarsia work is seen in the eagle which is 76 individual pieces of wood each cut and sanded. My fingers took a beating during the sanding of all those small pieces.
