Expresso tamper and coffee scoop. Both of Oregon myrtlewood, finished in many coats of WOP.

Expresso tamper from Expressoparts.com. Well made, in stainless steel, available in whatever size is required to fit your machine. The other major supplier of tamper bases is Reg Barber. Obviously, you need to have the base in hand and measure carefully before turning the handle to fit.

Scoop kit from PSI uses 7mm brass tube. They offer bushings, but if you are only making one, it makes more sense to simply measure the parts and turn to fit.

And yes, the expresso does taste better when made using a good tamper.

I used my Sierra Vista bushings turned around on the mandrel. Just thought I would offer the tip, if anyone could use it.

Nice work. The set compliments each other well.
