We love ours, and I can't make a greater suggestion than the little coffee filter thing they make for it so you can use your own ground coffee rather than their pre-made K-cups. I'm a serious coffee snob, but only drink one cup a day, maybe 2 on the weekends, but it is VERY nice to not have to make even a small pot of expensive coffee that nobody else wants (wife drinks decaf, I don't see the point...)

Had ours for years too, but the pump is getting tied on this one, somedays I wonder if it is ever going to stop pumping.:eek:

We got a keurig as a gift a few years ago...thought it was an odd choice as neither of us drink coffee...I am now addicted to Chai Latte and my wife uses the little basket for mixing teas...great toy/appliance!

Costco can be a bad habit!!!

They do have the right price for the little cups here at the end of the supply chain.

As I drink a cup of French Roast from the K machine.

We have had one for a couple of years now. Like the connivence but if you do the math the Kcups are more expensive than doing coffee the old way. That being said we wouldn't get rid of it. We buy the big boxes of Kcups at Costco instead of small boxes found in most stores. We like it so much we bought the one with the smaller reservoir that hold just 1 cup of water at a time and take with us on road trips. They never give you more than 2 cups of coffee at the hotels. Haven't tried to take it on a plane yet, wouldn't check it but would use it as a carry on bag.

Our is on it's 3rd birthday and the pump was sounding a little grumpy. De-scaled it about 6 times (we have the hardest water!!) and purrs like a kitten. Since I weaned my wife off Diet Pepsi, it makes four cups everyday. We get the Pacific Bold from Costco...works out to about .35 a cup at California prices. I hardly use the ground coffee K-cup adaptor thingy...guess I'm getting lazy in my old age!!

We use the refill cups and put in our favorite - Cafe Bustelo. A very inexpensive brand of expresso grind from Mexico. This makes it very economical

I have found when I use the refill cups, that I have to be careful how much I put in as I have gotten a coffee jag a few times. It seem they hold more coffee grounds than the Kcup and it is more conectrated.

Our wood turning club has a Keurig. One of our guys is the coffee man and sets it up each month, buys the supplies as needed. He has a handful of flavors as well as tea bags.
My Wonderful Wifey likes to take her own favorite k-cup and is a happy camper!

Now that I think about it Charlie...hospitals have these in every corner of staff space. My little hospital up north (30 beds) has 8-10 at least for staff in assorted areas. The big one...good grief...that's where my raise went!

nice but when you drink about 8 cups a day each like my spouse and I do it's too expensive. We use ours when we want a flavored drink or we don't want to make a pot.

I'm with SMITTY! I've got a Kurig in my office. It's great for making a visitor A CUP of coffee of their choosing.

In the kitchen, we've got a Cuisinart Grind and Brew with a Thermos carafe. It automatically turns on, fresh grinds our favorite whole bean coffee just 5 minutes before we get up. It makes 10 cups.....or in "real world terms", one Turvis Tumbler full for me and a Turvis full for the wife.

I much prefer my first "cup" of morning coffee to all of the others.

I too use it for tea, coffee, chia and to make instant oatmeal for my grandson. It also works well for those cup of noodles. As for cost 35 cents is a lot less than when my wife went to Starbucks every morning. Then it was a minimum of 4 bucks which equals about 10 k=cups. She also like to order direct from Kuerig and it comes to the door in two days and they have every flavor imaginalble!!

We use ours for that flavored coffee in the evening, after dinner. In the morning, we use the Cuisinart "coffee on demand" maker as we have two cups each, before getting started. One cup at a time takes too long.

My in-laws have a Keurig. I can't stand the coffee from those. (Maybe I just haven't found a flavor that I like). I love my Swiss made Jura super automatic machine (Google it sometime). A cup at a time, any coffee and any strength you want.

However, on the low budget side, I also love my aeropress, especially with the Cafe Bustello mentioned earlier. (Amazon for the aeropress and Costco online for the Cafe Bustello). This can make a very nice espresso or cup of coffee. I always take this camping, but also use it at home a lot. Works great when paired with an instant hot water tap.
