Are the Woodcraft Cobalt Gold kits considered an equal plating to Titanium Gold plating? I cannot remember where the list was that showed the plating ratings. Thanks for your help.

Upgrade gold is the same as cobalt gold. Titanium nitride does not have any gold in it, but has a gold colour and is much more durable.

Thank you Andrew. I did not realize that nitride was just a gold color.
Harder than 24Kt
Cobalt gold is a bit harder than 24Kt. Gold, but not like Gold TN. Gold TN is sometimes sputtered with 24kt Gold to give it a 24Kt gold look. The 24Kt will wear off but it won't be very noticeable because of the Gold colored TN beneath.

Its ok as a general guide and it seems to me that the order listed is pretty close but I think there are some errors.
Chrome and Black Chrome probably wear as well as Rhodium and a lot of Black Titanium is Titanium Nitride with about the same characteristics as Titanium Gold.
