Nice work, but I think it would look better if the finial(above the clip ring) was either about 1/2 that height or the same shape as the other end. Does it post? The shape looks like it might but the posting end could be kind of short.

I agree . Yes it will post. I think I will shorten the finial on the next one.

I think the length of the finial is perfect. You did a nice job on the closed end portion as well, and the fact it posts is definitely a bonus. Very nicely done!
