I'm not super stoked about this pen, but it is the first closed-end pen I have made.
I had wanted the pen to be wood-on-wood, with no coupler. This is the first fountain pen I've made, and I did not look close enough at the kit, nor did I drill the blank deep enough to bury the coupler. Next time I'll be more diligent about hiding the coupler.
One thing is for certain..........I'll stay away from cross-segmented Bamboo blanks. The tools constantly bounced off of the wood. Ended up with some ridges even the skew did not want to deal with. It took the 80 grit tool, mounted to a power drill, to brings things to order.
