A friend who makes clocks found some scraps from a clock he made about 20 years ago. I was not sure what kind of wood it was but had to soak it in wood hardner for about six hours. Any help on the wood would be nice, honest comments on workmanship and over look would be taken with a grain of salt. /forum/albums/laspringer/tn/tn_SL_cyp_gld.jpg

They look nice, I have made alot of SL's with a similar shape. I think adding a little curve gives it more interest that flat barrels.
My only critique would be the small gap at the CB in the first pen, amybe the barrel is just not pushed on all the way.
Sorry, I can be of little help on wood selection.
