Hi to you all, I have been using a lathe for about 12 months now and I really enjoy making pens both from wood and other materials.
I would not mind having a go at casting some acrylic blanks but know nothing about the process. :confused:
it's difficult to find interesting blanks here in the UK so I have been purchasing some from the good old US OF A:smile: Bear tooth woods have been very helpful.

Hi Cliff, a warm welcome from North Wales.
Axminsters and Turners Retreat have improved their selections of blanks and kits and there is another supplier....Pen Kits UK or something similar that gets good reports. Also check out George Watkins' site, From The Tree, for some amazing blanks.
