clearish brownish pour? anyone?

I want to do a pour that has a light brown tint but is mostly clear. Similar to brown liquor, or maple syrup or something. anyone know a recipe for this?

Yes, 2 or 3 drops of brown Alumilite dye to 15 ounces of Alumilite Crystal Clear.

Unfortunately, brown's not there much. There is a sample of alumilite brown,
but it's part of the ~30 recipes that are waiting on me getting them added.


Try adding a black dye to an orange dye base.

I make my coffee bean blanks using PR. To get the right color, I used casting craft brown pigment and pearl ex antique copper powder.

It turned out perfect.

I got some brown tint from Hobby Lobby. It does not color as darkly as the other tints do, so a very small drop should get you what you want.

I'd go with some bronze pearlex all on it's own. It will be very translucent, have a bit of shimmer and some goldish tint to it as well..maybe even mix some gold and bronze for that ambery look.

I know you can't use very much, and I don't remember just how much I used,
but TransTint dyes might fit the bill.

Ive never tried brown but I have gotten other colors to work by adding a little (like on the tip of a small stir stick) of oil based pain (artist paint that comes in the tubes) to my PR. Add a little... stir, add a little more.... stir, until I get the color I want. If you only add a little of the solid color, it will be just enough to tint the pr and not color it solid.
