Now that I am finally getting back into turning I have to sort out, tidy and organize my workshop. I thought I would put up some pics of what it's like now and I will put up pics when I get finished. I hope this will keep me motivated to stay at it because I always start things and wander off to something else, mucking around on the guitar or playing MW3 on the PS3. So here's my not so humble workspace.

Haha. I should,ve took a pic facing the door. I have logs of yew, laburnum, bog oak and bog yew all over the place, even bits on almost every machine there. I only got the other machines recently and they aren't where I would like them sitting.

I'm scouring my internet stuff to see if I have a picture of the old workshop somewhere. It looked like a bomb went off in there. There was literally just enough space to reach the lathe, bandsaw and grinder and the rest was tools, some junk, drying blanks and stuff that I was pretending to care about storing properly. I knew where everything was, though.

Glad I'm not the only one stores stuff on top of the table saw

Mine becomes a catch all until I need it then it takes me forever to clear it off to make one cut.

Ok so I should have started the cleanup already but a friend gave me a piece of Elm Burl to turn a bowl for him. Here it is finished.

The next photo is a small piece I cut from the Yew burl. The small blanks should look great with the creamy sapwood showing too.
